About

Subnautica 2 is honestly one of those games where the hype feels actually justified, you know? Like, the first one was this absolute masterpiece of "terrifying but beautiful" and now that we're finally looking at the sequel, there's just so much to be excited about.

I’ve been following the dev updates and the biggest thing for me has gotta be the co-op. I know some purists think it might ruin the loneliness/horror vibe of the original, but imagine being deep in some dark trench and actually having a buddy there to watch your back while a giant leviathan is screaming in the distance. It adds a whole new layer to the survival aspect. Plus, the new planet looks stunning—even more alien than 4546B if that’s even possible.

I really hope they keep the crafting loop satisfying without making it feel like a chore. There’s always that fine line in survival games where it becomes a "walking simulator with batteries," but Subnautica always nailed the progression. The way you’d go from splashing around on the surface to building these massive industrial bases at the bottom of the ocean was so rewarding.

Can't wait to see what kind of nightmare fuel they’ve designed for the deep biomes this time around. My sea moth is ready (or whatever the new version will be called lol). It’s definitely gonna be a day one play for me. If it’s even half as good as the first game, we're in for a treat. Just hope my PC can handle the graphics because those water effects look insane!
